Description

This Healthy Burger Bowl features tender turkey patties paired with fresh ingredients and a tangy special sauce, offering a nutritious alternative to traditional burgers.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil (plus more for cooking)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup avocado mayo
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon pickle juice or apple cider vinegar
  • 4 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1/2 cup sliced cherry tomatoes
  • 1/3 cup sliced red onion
  • 1/3 cup sliced pickles
  • 1/3 cup cooked, chopped bacon (optional)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese


Instructions

  1. Combine ground turkey, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix until just combined. Shape into patties.
  2. Heat a skillet with olive oil over medium heat and cook turkey patties for 5-6 minutes on each side until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  3. Mix avocado mayo, ketchup, Dijon mustard, pickle juice, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a small bowl to prepare the special sauce.
  4. Assemble the bowls with romaine lettuce as the base, topped with cooked turkey patties, cherry tomatoes, red onion, pickles, bacon if desired, and drizzle with the special sauce. Finish with a sprinkle of cheddar cheese.

Notes
