Description

Delicious Ground Beef Philly Cheesesteaks made with sautéed onions, bell peppers, and gooey provolone cheese on soft hoagie rolls.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced (optional)
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced onions and bell peppers (if using) to the skillet. Sauté until they soften and become translucent, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  3. Incorporate ground beef into the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until the beef browns and cooks through. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
  4. Place a slice of provolone cheese over the beef mixture in the skillet, allowing it to melt for a few moments.
  5. Toast the hoagie rolls in a separate pan or toaster until golden brown.
  6. Fill each hoagie roll with the beef and cheese mixture, generously heaping the filling for a delightful bite.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Ground Beef Philly Cheesesteaks!

Notes

For added flavor, consider including thinly sliced mushrooms or jalapeños. Adjust seasoning according to your taste.
