Description

Savory ground beef and sautéed onions topped with gooey provolone cheese, all served in a toasted hoagie roll.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Olive oil


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onions and sauté until soft.
  3. Add the ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Slice the hoagie rolls and place them on a baking sheet.
  6. Fill each roll with the beef and onion mixture, then top with 2 slices of provolone cheese.
  7. Bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding garlic powder or Worcestershire sauce to the beef. Toasting the hoagie rolls adds a delightful crunch.
