Description

A delicious twist on the classic grilled cheese, combining juicy beef patties and melty cheese for the ultimate comfort food experience.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound 85% lean ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Montreal-style steak seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 6 slices white bread
  • 6 slices Colby-Jack cheese

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, thoroughly combine the ground beef, parsley, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and steak seasoning.
  2. Form the mixture into three equal patties.
  3. Heat a nonstick griddle and place the patties on it.
  4. Cook the burgers to your desired doneness, aiming for 4 to 6 minutes on each side.
  5. Remove the burgers from the heat and set aside.
  6. On a separate griddle, warm it over medium heat.
  7. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  8. Lay half of the bread slices on the griddle, buttered-side down.
  9. On each slice, add a slice of cheese, place a burger, and another slice of cheese.
  10. Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered-side up.
  11. Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese melts, about 6 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding sliced onions or mushrooms. Ensure cheese is at room temperature before cooking.
