A delicious twist on the classic grilled cheese, combining juicy beef patties and melty cheese for the ultimate comfort food experience.
Ingredients
- 1 pound 85% lean ground beef
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Montreal-style steak seasoning
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 6 slices white bread
- 6 slices Colby-Jack cheese
Instructions
- In a bowl, thoroughly combine the ground beef, parsley, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and steak seasoning.
- Form the mixture into three equal patties.
- Heat a nonstick griddle and place the patties on it.
- Cook the burgers to your desired doneness, aiming for 4 to 6 minutes on each side.
- Remove the burgers from the heat and set aside.
- On a separate griddle, warm it over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Lay half of the bread slices on the griddle, buttered-side down.
- On each slice, add a slice of cheese, place a burger, and another slice of cheese.
- Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered-side up.
- Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese melts, about 6 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding sliced onions or mushrooms. Ensure cheese is at room temperature before cooking.
