Ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas (15 oz) (425 g)
- 2 tablespoons tahini (30 g)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) ground cumin
- Salt, to taste
- 1/4 cup water (60 ml)
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved (150 g)
- 1/2 cup black olives, pitted and halved (75 g)
- 1/2 cup beef cheese, crumbled (75 g)
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced (35 g)
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (15 g)
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) smoked paprika
- 1 package pita bread
- 1 tablespoon pine nuts, toasted (10 g)
Instructions
- Drain and rinse the chickpeas under cold water.
- In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, and ground cumin.
- Add salt to taste and blend until smooth.
- Gradually add water and continue blending until desired consistency is reached.
- Transfer the hummus to a serving platter.
- Arrange sliced cucumber, halved cherry tomatoes, pitted and halved Kalamata olives, crumbled feta cheese, and thinly sliced red onion around the hummus.
- Sprinkle fresh chopped parsley and smoked paprika over the hummus.
- Toast the pine nuts in a dry skillet over medium heat until golden, then sprinkle over the platter.
- Warm the pita bread as desired and cut into wedges.
- Serve the hummus platter with pita bread on the side.
