Ingredients
- 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 0.33 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 0.5 cup all-purpose flour (can substitute with gluten-free blend)
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
- 0.25 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the melted butter and granulated sugar in a mixing bowl. Stir until well mixed.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
- Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges look set but the centers remain soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
