- 1-2 pound flat iron steak
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2/3 cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 garlic clove (minced)
- 1/2 cup scallions (chopped)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- Combine the marinade ingredients: soy sauce, lemon juice, olive oil, brown sugar, minced garlic, and chopped scallions.
- Add the flat iron steak to the marinade, ensuring it is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for one hour or overnight for deeper flavors.
- Preheat a medium pan over medium heat, and add two tablespoons of olive oil.
- Remove the steak from the marinade, seasoning it with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Cook the steak in the heated pan for 5-6 minutes on each side until the internal temperature reaches 135ºF.
- Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for 10 minutes.
