Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 4 slices of turkey bacon
- 2 sausages (beef or chicken)
- 1 cup (240 ml) mushrooms, sliced (about 100 grams)
- 1 tomato, halved
- 1 cup (240 ml) baked beans (about 240 milliliters)
- 4 slices of bread
- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s butter (about 28 grams)
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the tomato halves on a baking tray, cut side up, and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake the tomatoes in the oven for about 15 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the turkey bacon.
- Cook the turkey bacon for about 4-5 minutes per side until crispy.
- Remove the turkey bacon from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sausages and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally until browned and cooked through.
- Remove the sausages from the skillet and set aside.
- Add the mushrooms to the skillet and sauté for 5-6 minutes until browned and tender.
- Remove the mushrooms from the skillet and set aside.
- In a small saucepan, heat the baked beans over low heat until warmed through.
- While the beans are heating, toast the slices of bread until golden brown.
- Spread butter evenly on the toasted bread slices.
- In a separate skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
- Crack the eggs into the skillet and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook the eggs to your preferred doneness (sunny side up or over easy).
- Arrange the turkey bacon, sausages, mushrooms, tomato halves, baked beans, toasted bread, and eggs on a plate.
- Serve the English Breakfast Plate hot.
