Ingredients

  • – 1 pound (454 g) ground chicken
  • – 4 green onions, thinly sliced, whites and greens separated
  • – 2 teaspoons (10 ml) grated fresh ginger
  • – 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • – 16 ounces (454 g) coleslaw mix or shredded cabbage
  • – 3 tablespoons (45 ml) soy sauce
  • – 1 teaspoon (5 ml) sesame oil or to taste
  • – chopped fresh cilantro for garnish
  • – sesame seeds for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a 10-inch pan on medium-high heat, cook the ground chicken, using a wooden spoon to crumble it. Remove any excess grease.
  2. Add the white parts of the green onions, ginger, garlic, and coleslaw mix. Stir occasionally and cook until the coleslaw softens, roughly 5 minutes.
  3. Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, then continue cooking for an additional minute.
  4. Serve in bowls and top with cilantro, the green parts of the onions, and sesame seeds.
