- 1 pound (454 g) (450 grams) fresh or frozen edamame in pods
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) (30 milliliters) olive oil
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams) sea salt
Instructions
- If using frozen edamame, thaw them by placing in a bowl of warm water for a few minutes and then drain well.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil over high heat.
- Add the edamame pods to the boiling water.
- Cook the edamame for 4-5 minutes until they are bright green and tender.
- Drain the edamame in a colander and let them cool slightly.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the drained edamame to the skillet.
- Toss the edamame in the skillet for 2-3 minutes to coat them with the olive oil.
- Sprinkle the sea salt over the edamame while tossing.
- Remove the skillet from heat and transfer edamame to a serving bowl.
- Serve warm and enjoy.
