Description

A delightful combination of pizza and tacos, easy taco pizza is customizable, simple to make, and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 6.5 oz. pkg pizza dough mix
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 pkt. taco seasoning
  • 2 c. shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • 3 c. shredded lettuce
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • Taco sauce or salsa
  • Sour cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the dough with the required water until combined. Let it rest for at least 10 minutes.
  3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the hamburger, breaking it up with a meat chopper until browned. Stir in the taco seasoning until well mixed.
  4. Spread the prepared dough over a well-greased pizza pan, ensuring uniform coverage.
  5. Spread the refried beans over the dough, layer the taco meat evenly across, and sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes, or until the crust is cooked through.
  7. Remove from the oven and top with shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and your choice of taco sauce or salsa, finishing with a dollop of sour cream.

Notes

For a crispy crust, consider pre-baking the dough for a few minutes before adding toppings. Experiment with different toppings such as jalapeños or olives.
