Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef (80/20 preferred)
- 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated onion (or finely chopped)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (for garnish)
- Olive oil (if pan-frying)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Combine the breadcrumbs and milk for the breadcrumb mixture in a large bowl. Allow it to sit for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the egg, minced garlic, grated onion, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper until blended smoothly.
- Gently mix in the ground beef, being careful not to overmix.
- Form the mixture into 1 ½-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake the meatballs in the oven for 18-20 minutes until browned and cooked through or pan-sear them in a skillet with olive oil for 8-10 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving and enjoy!
Notes
For additional flavor, consider simmering the meatballs in marinara sauce for an extra 10 minutes before serving.
