Description

An easy layered taco bake brings together ground beef, taco seasoning, cheese, and tortillas into a delicious and comforting dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • ¾ cup water
  • ½ cup salsa con queso
  • 3 soft 8-inch flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef, breaking it apart as it browns (about 5-7 minutes). Drain excess grease.
  2. Return beef to skillet and add taco seasoning and water, stirring to combine. Simmer as directed on the seasoning packet.
  3. Mix in salsa con queso until melted.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray an 8-inch baking pan with nonstick spray.
  5. Layer one tortilla, â…“ taco filling, and â…“ cheese in the pan. Repeat layers, finishing with the last tortilla, taco filling, and cheese.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For variations, consider adding black beans, corn, or swapping salsa con queso for sour cream. Customize with vegetables like bell peppers for added nutrition.
