Description
A comforting dish combining frozen meatballs and fresh vegetables, slow-cooked to perfection.
Ingredients
- 1 (26oz) bag frozen meatballs
- 2 cups baby carrots
- 5 stalks celery, chopped
- 2 packets brown gravy mix
- 1 packet Lipton onion soup mix
- 2 cups water
- ¼ cup butter
- 1 (24oz) container refrigerated mashed potatoes
Instructions
- Place the frozen meatballs, baby carrots, and chopped celery into your slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the two packets of brown gravy mix with the two cups of water.
- Pour the gravy mixture over the meatballs and veggies.
- Sprinkle the packet of onion soup mix over the top.
- Slice the butter into small pieces and distribute them evenly on top.
- Cook on LOW for 180-240 minutes, stirring halfway through.
- Just before serving, heat up and prepare the mashed potatoes according to the package instructions.
Notes
For a thicker gravy, consider adding a cornstarch slurry during the last 30 minutes of cooking. Adjust cooking time based on your slow cooker.
