Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter, followed by mixing in the sugar, egg, and vanilla.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and pinch of salt over the mixture and stir to combine.
- Add the flour and cocoa powder, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before slicing.
Notes
For best flavor, allow the bread to sit overnight before slicing. Store in plastic wrap at room temperature for up to three days.
