Description

A delightful blend of ripe bananas and rich chocolate that creates a moist and flavorful treat perfect for any time of day.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter, followed by mixing in the sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  4. Sprinkle the baking soda and pinch of salt over the mixture and stir to combine.
  5. Add the flour and cocoa powder, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before slicing.

Notes

For best flavor, allow the bread to sit overnight before slicing. Store in plastic wrap at room temperature for up to three days.
