Description

A delightful croissant bake blending flaky croissants with savory meats and creamy custard, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

  • 6-8 croissants, cut into halves or thirds
  • 10-12 slices of deli meat (ham, turkey breast, salami, or prosciutto)
  • 3-4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary
  • 8-10 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 tbsp fresh thyme (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut croissants into thirds and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream or milk, eggs, salt, garlic salt, pepper, and rosemary.
  4. Dunk croissant pieces in the mixture, ensuring they are well-coated.
  5. In a baking dish, layer the dipped croissants, interspersing with slices of deli meat and cheese.
  6. In a separate bowl, melt butter and mix in honey and remaining herbs; drizzle over the layered croissant bake.
  7. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and cheese is melted.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Garnish with fresh herbs for added flavor and presentation. Pair with a light salad or fresh fruit.
