Ingredients
- 2-3 pounds of round steak
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 4 medium carrots, sliced
- 4 medium potatoes, diced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs such as rosemary or thyme (optional)
Instructions
- Season the round steak with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet, sear the steak on both sides until browned.
- Layer the chopped onion, garlic, carrots, and potatoes in the bottom of the crockpot.
- Place the browned steak on top of the vegetables.
- Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the meat and vegetables.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until the meat is tender and fully cooked.
