Description

This crockpot round steak is a heartwarming slow-cooked meal that combines tender meat and wholesome vegetables, making it a perfect dish for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 pounds of round steak
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 4 medium carrots, sliced
  • 4 medium potatoes, diced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs such as rosemary or thyme (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the round steak with salt and pepper.
  2. In a skillet, sear the steak on both sides until browned.
  3. Layer the chopped onion, garlic, carrots, and potatoes in the bottom of the crockpot.
  4. Place the browned steak on top of the vegetables.
  5. Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the meat and vegetables.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until the meat is tender and fully cooked.

Notes

Searing the steak locks in flavors. Adjust cooking time for desired tenderness. Experiment with additional vegetables and seasonings.
