Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In another bowl, mix flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
- Stir until a dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, then shape into a ball.
- Place the dough in a greased slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until the bread is baked through.
- Remove from the slow cooker and let cool before slicing.
Notes
For a crunchier crust, leave the lid off during the last hour of cooking. Ensure your slow cooker is greased adequately to prevent sticking.
