Delicious and satisfying crispy baked cauliflower steaks, seasoned to perfection for a flavorful vegetarian dish.
Ingredients
- 1 Large Head of Cauliflower
- 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Smoked Paprika
- 1/2 Teaspoon Dried Oregano
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 Teaspoon Black Pepper
- Optional: Red Pepper Flakes for heat
- Optional: Fresh Parsley or Chives for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare your baking sheet.
- Remove the outer leaves from the cauliflower head and trim the bottom of the stem.
- Place the head of cauliflower stem-side down on a cutting board.
- Carefully cut through the center to form two thick steaks, around 1 inch thick.
- In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until blended.
- Lay the steaks on the baking sheet and pour any remaining seasoning mixture over them.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and tender-crisp.
- For extra crispiness, broil the steaks for an additional 2-3 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.

Notes
For extra heat, sprinkle red pepper flakes on the steaks before baking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
