Description

A warm and comforting creamy rice pudding made with sweetened condensed milk, bringing nostalgia and joy to your family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup short-grain rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional: raisins or nuts for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the rice and water.
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer until the rice is tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Stir in the sweetened condensed milk, regular milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens for about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  6. Serve warm or chilled, garnished with raisins or nuts if desired.

Notes

Adjust the thickness of your pudding by cooking it longer for a thicker consistency or adding extra milk for a creamier texture.
