Ingredients
- 1 cup short-grain rice
- 2 cups water
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional: raisins or nuts for garnish
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the rice and water.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer until the rice is tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Stir in the sweetened condensed milk, regular milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt.
- Cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens for about 10-15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Serve warm or chilled, garnished with raisins or nuts if desired.
