Description

Delicious and nostalgic Creamy Coconut Candies made with sweetened condensed milk, shredded coconut, and vanilla extract.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (14 oz) of sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups of shredded coconut
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar (optional)
  • Coconut oil or butter for greasing the dish


Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, shredded coconut, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  2. If desired, add powdered sugar for added sweetness and a thicker consistency. Mix well.
  3. Grease a baking dish or tray with coconut oil or butter.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly in the greased dish, pressing down firmly.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for about 120 minutes or until set.
  6. Once set, cut into small squares or bars. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

For a richer flavor, lightly toast the shredded coconut before mixing. These candies store well in an airtight container and can also be frozen for later enjoyment.
