Delicious and nostalgic Creamy Coconut Candies made with sweetened condensed milk, shredded coconut, and vanilla extract.
Ingredients
- 1 can (14 oz) of sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups of shredded coconut
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 cup of powdered sugar (optional)
- Coconut oil or butter for greasing the dish
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, shredded coconut, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- If desired, add powdered sugar for added sweetness and a thicker consistency. Mix well.
- Grease a baking dish or tray with coconut oil or butter.
- Spread the mixture evenly in the greased dish, pressing down firmly.
- Chill in the refrigerator for about 120 minutes or until set.
- Once set, cut into small squares or bars. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
For a richer flavor, lightly toast the shredded coconut before mixing. These candies store well in an airtight container and can also be frozen for later enjoyment.
