Description

A comforting dish of lean ground beef and medium pasta shells in a luxuriously creamy sauce, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 8 oz medium pasta shells
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta shells in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Brown the ground beef with the onion and garlic in a large skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add beef broth and Italian seasoning; simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and let it simmer on low heat for another 5 minutes until thickened.
  5. Gently fold in the cooked pasta shells until well-coated with the sauce. Adjust seasoning if needed.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with extra Italian seasoning.

Notes

To enhance flavor, use fresh garlic and consider adding red pepper flakes for heat. Various small pasta shapes can be used too.
