Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- A pinch of salt
- 1 cup milk (or almond milk, or pea milk)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dairy-free)
- Cooking spray or coconut oil
Instructions
- Lightly grease your skillet with cooking spray or coconut oil and preheat it over medium-low heat for about 10 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Whisk until fully incorporated.
- Add milk and vanilla extract into the dry ingredients and whisk until smooth.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Pour a ladleful of batter into the center of the skillet. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until the second side is golden brown.
- If the batter seems too thick, add a little more milk to adjust the consistency.
Notes
Allow the batter to rest for a few minutes for extra fluffiness.
