Description
A hearty breakfast casserole combining crispy bacon, fluffy eggs, rich cheese, and crunchy hash browns, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
- 8 strips of bacon
- 1 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups of hash browns (frozen or fresh)
- 1 cup of milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Chopped green onions or herbs for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a frying pan, cook the bacon until crispy, then chop it into pieces.
- In a large bowl, combine the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Beat well.
- Layer the hash browns in the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the cooked bacon and shredded cheese over the hash browns.
- Pour the egg mixture over the top of the casserole.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly, garnish with green onions if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
For an added crunch, you can sprinkle breadcrumbs on top for the last 10-15 minutes of baking. Experiment with different cheeses for varied flavors.
