Description

A creamy and rich mousse that combines the flavors of peanut butter and cottage cheese for a healthy dessert option.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup full-fat cottage cheese
  • 4 tablespoons creamy natural peanut butter, sugar-free
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 12 tablespoons milk (if needed)


Instructions

  1. Strain the cottage cheese for 1–2 minutes to remove excess liquid and set aside.
  2. Set up a clean 4-cup food processor or blender with a secure blade.
  3. Add the strained cottage cheese, peanut butter, sweetener, vanilla, and salt. Distribute evenly.
  4. Blend for 45–60 seconds until smooth and creamy, scraping the sides halfway.
  5. Check the texture. If too thick, blend in 1–2 tablespoons of milk gradually.
  6. Transfer the mousse to a bowl, cover, and chill for 15–20 minutes to set.
  7. Portion the mousse into 2–4 small bowls or jars (1/4–1/2 cup per serving).
  8. Serve chilled with optional toppings.

Notes

For added richness, try flavored peanut butters or customize with sweeteners. Add cocoa powder for a chocolate version.
