Description

Fudgy and delicious brownies made with protein-rich cottage cheese for a healthier treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
  2. Blend the cottage cheese until smooth.
  3. Add the granulated sugar, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract; mix well.
  4. Incorporate the eggs and combine thoroughly.
  5. Whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
  6. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips if using.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, checking with a toothpick for doneness.
  10. Allow to cool before slicing into squares.

Notes

For an extra indulgent treat, sprinkle chocolate chips on top before baking. Store brownies in an airtight container for up to a week.
