Ingredients
- 1 cup heat-treated all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup white sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
- 2 cups chocolate melting wafers or chocolate chips for coating
Instructions
- Heat treat the flour by spreading it on a baking sheet and baking at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes. Let it cool.
- Combine softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar in a large mixing bowl. Cream until smooth and creamy.
- Add in milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until well incorporated.
- Gradually mix in the cooled, heat-treated flour until a cohesive dough forms.
- Fold in mini chocolate chips gently.
- Roll small portions of the dough into balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Freeze for 15-20 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate coating and dip each dough ball, allowing excess to drip off.
- Return coated truffles to the parchment paper and refrigerate until the chocolate sets.
Notes
For better results, use room temperature butter and ensure your chocolate for dipping is fully melted and smooth.
