Description

A delightful dish featuring crispy chicken coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Dredge the chicken pieces in the mixture until evenly coated.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the chicken pieces in small batches until they turn golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. In a separate pan, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and water. Simmer gently until the sauce thickens.
  4. Toss the fried chicken in the honey garlic sauce until evenly coated.
  5. Serve garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

Notes

Double-dipping the chicken can create an even thicker crust for extra crunch.
