Description
A delightful dish featuring crispy chicken coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or special occasions.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup water
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Dredge the chicken pieces in the mixture until evenly coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the chicken pieces in small batches until they turn golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a separate pan, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and water. Simmer gently until the sauce thickens.
- Toss the fried chicken in the honey garlic sauce until evenly coated.
- Serve garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Notes
Double-dipping the chicken can create an even thicker crust for extra crunch.
