Ingredients

  • 450 grams beef sausage links
  • 15 milliliters vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large apple, cored and sliced
  • 1 small head of green cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 5 grams salt
  • 5 grams black pepper
  • 1 gram dried thyme
  • 1 gram smoked paprika
  • 60 milliliters beef broth
  • 15 milliliters apple cider vinegar


Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chicken sausage links to the skillet.
  3. Cook the sausages until browned on all sides, about 6-8 minutes.
  4. Remove the sausages from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the sliced onion.
  6. Sauté the onion until it becomes translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Add the minced garlic to the skillet.
  8. Cook the garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  9. Add the sliced apple to the skillet.
  10. Sauté the apple until it starts to soften, about 3 minutes.
  11. Add the sliced cabbage to the skillet.
  12. Stir in the salt, black pepper, thyme, and smoked paprika.
  13. Cook the cabbage until it begins to wilt, about 5 minutes.
  14. Pour the chicken broth into the skillet.
  15. Add the apple cider vinegar to the skillet.
  16. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  17. Return the sausages to the skillet.
  18. Cover the skillet and reduce heat to low.
  19. Simmer for 10 minutes to blend flavors and fully cook the cabbage.
  20. Remove from heat and serve hot.
