Description

Discover how to make delicious Cheesy Stuffed Meatloaf Bites that will impress your guests. This easy recipe will elevate your appetizer game!

Ingredients

  • 907 g ground beef (2 lbs)
  • 473 ml bella mushrooms, pureed until fine (1 pint)
  • 1 sleeve buttery crackers, crushed
  • 30 ml yellow mustard (2 tbsp)
  • 30 ml ketchup (2 tbsp)
  • 15 ml Worcestershire sauce (1 tbsp)
  • 5 ml each of: black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder (1 tsp)
  • 1 large egg
  • 170 g cheddar cheese, cubed (6 oz)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Process the mushrooms until they are finely pureed.
  3. Crush the crackers and set them aside for later.
  4. Cut the cheese into small cubes.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine the pureed mushrooms, ground beef, crushed crackers, seasonings, and the egg.
  6. Use clean hands to mix everything together and shape the mixture into 12 large balls, making a small indentation in each.
  7. Place cheese cubes into each indentation, using 1-3 cubes per ball, and then cover them with the meat mixture.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes and enjoy them warm. They pair well with mashed potatoes or sauce—your choice!

Notes

  • Enhance the mushroom flavor by sautéing the pureed mushrooms before adding them to the meat mixture.
  • Customize the taste by trying different cheeses like blue cheese or mozzarella for the stuffed meatballs.
  • Elevate freshness with a sprinkle of parsley or thyme in the meat mixture, and serve with marinara sauce for a classic pairing.
