A comforting and hearty casserole combining classic meatloaf flavors with a cheesy twist.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, shredded cheese, chopped onion, ketchup, eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl until well mixed.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the meatloaf is cooked through with a golden brown top.
- Rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Experiment with different types of cheese and add herbs or spices for added flavor. Allow the meatloaf to sit for easier slicing.
