Ingredients
- 300g (10.5 oz) Broccoli – chopped
- 3 slices Whole wheat bread – blended into bread crumbs
- 5 Onion – finely diced
- 60g (0.5 cups) Mature cheddar – grated
- 2 Eggs – whisked
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Dried oregano
- 1 pinch Sea salt
- 1 pinch Ground black pepper
Instructions
- Set your oven to heat at 200°C/180°C (fan)/400°F/Gas 6.
- Place the broccoli into a pot of boiling water for a brief 3-minute simmer. Drain, then transfer to a large mixing bowl and mash until finely crushed.
- Combine the remaining ingredients into the bowl and stir thoroughly.
- Scoop out 1 tablespoon of the mixture at a time, shaping it into a small log, and repeat this process until you have 20 pieces.
- Arrange them on a baking sheet that has been either lined or lightly greased, and bake in the oven for 25 minutes until they begin to turn crispy. Accompany with your preferred dipping sauce.

- Drain the broccoli well after boiling to avoid excess moisture.
