A delightful twist on classic cheeseburger flavors, these cheeseburger twists are filled with savory ground beef and rich cheddar cheese, all wrapped in crispy egg roll wrappers.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 package egg roll wrappers
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the diced onions and minced garlic, sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
- Add the ground beef and cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Remove from heat and fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Lay an egg roll wrapper flat, wet the edges with water, and place a spoonful of filling in the center.
- Fold the bottom corner over the filling, fold in the sides, and roll up tightly, sealing the top edge with water.
- Heat enough oil in a skillet to cover the bottom and fry the egg rolls for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove from oil and drain on a napkin-lined plate. Serve warm.
Notes
Serve with barbecue sauce or a zesty ranch for dipping. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Reheat in an oven for best results.
