Description

A delightful twist on classic cheeseburger flavors, these cheeseburger twists are filled with savory ground beef and rich cheddar cheese, all wrapped in crispy egg roll wrappers.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package egg roll wrappers


Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the diced onions and minced garlic, sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  5. Remove from heat and fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Lay an egg roll wrapper flat, wet the edges with water, and place a spoonful of filling in the center.
  7. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, fold in the sides, and roll up tightly, sealing the top edge with water.
  8. Heat enough oil in a skillet to cover the bottom and fry the egg rolls for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  9. Remove from oil and drain on a napkin-lined plate. Serve warm.

Notes

Serve with barbecue sauce or a zesty ranch for dipping. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Reheat in an oven for best results.
