Description

Creamy burrata cheese and savory prosciutto transform plain baguette into a vibrant appetizer that elevates any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of baguette
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 8 ounces of burrata cheese
  • 4 ounces of prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup of fresh basil leaves
  • Balsamic glaze, for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brush both sides of each baguette slice with olive oil.
  3. Place the oiled baguette on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven for approximately 5-7 minutes or until they turn lightly golden and crisp.
  4. After they cool slightly, spread a generous amount of burrata cheese on each crostini.
  5. Drape a slice of prosciutto over the burrata, allowing the meat to gently hug the cheese.
  6. Garnish each crostini with fresh basil leaves and drizzle with balsamic glaze just before serving.

Notes

Use a serrated knife to slice the baguette for cleaner cuts. Allow the crostini to cool slightly before adding toppings to maintain bread integrity.
