Description

Indulge in this rich, chocolatey dessert with creamy layers and crunchy Heath bars that will delight your guests.


Ingredients

  • 1 box devil’s food cake mix (plus ingredients specified on the box for preparation)
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 3/4 cup caramel syrup
  • 1 8oz tub of Cool Whip, thawed
  • 2-3 Heath candy bars, crushed


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and lightly grease a 9×13 cake pan.
  2. Prepare the devil’s food cake mix according to the package directions.
  3. Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool slightly.
  4. Using a fork or the back of a wooden spoon, poke holes in the top of the cake, but be careful not to poke through to the bottom.
  5. Pour the sweetened condensed milk and caramel syrup evenly over the top of the cake. Allow it to seep into the holes for that extra sweetness.
  6. Refrigerate the cake for at least 120 minutes, letting the flavors meld beautifully.
  7. Once ready to serve, spread the thawed Cool Whip over the chilled cake.
  8. Finally, sprinkle the crushed Heath candy bars evenly on top and dig into your creation.

For best results, prepare the cake a day ahead to allow the flavors to meld even more.
