A delightful recipe for crispy breaded cauliflower tossed in a creamy, spicy sauce perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
- 2 pints cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
- 1 â…“ cups Panko breadcrumbs
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 3 teaspoons Sriracha sauce
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 420°F (215°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and milk. Mix until smooth.
- Add the baking powder, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, and a pinch of salt and black pepper. Mix well until you achieve a smooth batter.
- Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets and place them into the batter. Stir gently until coated evenly.
- Incorporate the Panko breadcrumbs and mix again to ensure every piece is well-coated.
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper and arrange the breaded cauliflower florets in a single layer. Drizzle olive oil over the top.
- Bake in the middle of the oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Meanwhile, prepare the Bang Bang sauce by mixing the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, rice vinegar, and Sriracha in a small bowl. Adjust the seasoning if needed.
- After the cauliflower florets finish baking, pour the sauce over them and mix well. Enjoy your dish.
Notes
For extra crispiness, avoid overcrowding the baking tray. Save any leftover batter or breadcrumbs for another batch.
