Description
A flavorful beef dish featuring tender flank steak coated in a sweet and tangy garlic sauce, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
- 1300g of flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup of cornstarch
- 4 stalks green onions, green parts only, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1/4 cup of beef stock
- 1/4 cup of light soy sauce
- 1/3 cup of brown sugar
- 2 tsp of ginger, minced
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
Instructions
- Slice your steak into 1/4″ strips and coat the beef with cornstarch. Set aside for the coating to adhere.
- Chop the green onions and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix together beef stock, light soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and minced garlic. Set this aside as well.
- Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add a little oil. Fry the beef for about 4 minutes until golden brown. Set the beef aside on a plate.
- In the same pan, add your premixed sauce and stir in some additional cornstarch to thicken.
- Return the browned beef and stir until every piece is evenly coated with the sauce.
- Add in the green onions and give everything a final mix.
