Description

A flavorful beef dish featuring tender flank steak coated in a sweet and tangy garlic sauce, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1300g of flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup of cornstarch
  • 4 stalks green onions, green parts only, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup of beef stock
  • 1/4 cup of light soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 tsp of ginger, minced
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Slice your steak into 1/4″ strips and coat the beef with cornstarch. Set aside for the coating to adhere.
  2. Chop the green onions and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix together beef stock, light soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and minced garlic. Set this aside as well.
  4. Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add a little oil. Fry the beef for about 4 minutes until golden brown. Set the beef aside on a plate.
  5. In the same pan, add your premixed sauce and stir in some additional cornstarch to thicken.
  6. Return the browned beef and stir until every piece is evenly coated with the sauce.
  7. Add in the green onions and give everything a final mix.

Notes

For the best results, prep all ingredients before cooking to ensure a smooth process. Adjust sauce ingredients to personal taste for optimal flavor.
