Delightful and healthy banana oatmeal bars that blend nostalgia with wholesome ingredients, perfect for breakfast or a snack.
Ingredients
- 1½ cups mashed bananas (approximately 3 bananas)
- ½ cup nut butter
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Line a 9×9 baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, nut butter, rolled oats, cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup, chocolate chips, and salt. Stir until everything is well mixed.
- Transfer the mixture to the lined baking pan and flatten it into an even layer. Sprinkle some extra chocolate chips on top if desired.
- Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until the edges turn golden and the middle appears set.
- Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting them into squares.
Notes
Use ripe bananas for best results. Consider adding nuts or shredded coconut for variations.
