Description

Delightful and healthy banana oatmeal bars that blend nostalgia with wholesome ingredients, perfect for breakfast or a snack.


Ingredients

  • 1½ cups mashed bananas (approximately 3 bananas)
  • ½ cup nut butter
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • ½ teaspoon salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Line a 9×9 baking pan with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, nut butter, rolled oats, cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup, chocolate chips, and salt. Stir until everything is well mixed.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the lined baking pan and flatten it into an even layer. Sprinkle some extra chocolate chips on top if desired.
  5. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until the edges turn golden and the middle appears set.
  6. Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting them into squares.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for best results. Consider adding nuts or shredded coconut for variations.
