Ingredients
- 2-3 ripe bananas (mashed)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
- Roll the dough out on a floured surface into a rectangle. Spread some extra butter on top, then sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Roll tightly and cut into rolls.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- For the cream cheese glaze, beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls and enjoy!
Notes
Use ripe bananas for natural sweetness and prevent over-mixing for soft rolls. Allow melted butter to cool before adding it to the mix.
