Description

Soft, fluffy rolls swirled with cinnamon and sweetness, topped with a creamy glaze, making them a perfect treat for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2-3 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
  5. Roll the dough out on a floured surface into a rectangle. Spread some extra butter on top, then sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Roll tightly and cut into rolls.
  6. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. For the cream cheese glaze, beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
  8. Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls and enjoy!

Notes

Use ripe bananas for natural sweetness and prevent over-mixing for soft rolls. Allow melted butter to cool before adding it to the mix.
