Delicious banana bread brownies combining ripe bananas and rich chocolate for a delightful treat.
Ingredients
- 3 medium overripe bananas
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup milk (or almond milk)
- 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
- Smash the overripe bananas until smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
- Mix in the granulated sugar and brown sugar, stirring for a few minutes.
- Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon in another bowl.
- Blend the dry ingredients into the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and drizzle over the batter.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing into squares and serving.
