Description

Discover how to make delicious baked spaghetti squash with this easy recipe. Learn how to cook this healthy alternative to pasta for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (15 ml)
  • 1 spaghetti squash, halved and seeded

Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for preheating. Use vegetable oil to lightly coat a baking tray. Position the spaghetti squash with the cut side facing down on the tray.
  2. Cook in the preheated oven until the squash is soft and a fork can easily penetrate the skin, which will take around 40 to 60 minutes, depending on its size.
  3. Take it out of the oven and let it cool until it’s safe to touch. Use a fork to scrape out the inside, and throw away the outer shell.

Notes

  • Drizzle cooked spaghetti squash with olive oil, salt, and pepper for added flavor.
  • Enhance taste with freshly chopped parsley or basil.
  • Mix in grated Parmesan cheese or a dollop of pesto for a delicious twist.
