Description

Delightful baked maple donut bars that offer a sweet and comforting treat for breakfast or as a snack. Made with simple ingredients, these bars capture the essence of warm, homemade baked goods.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon maple extract
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients: flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the wet ingredients: milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and maple extract.
  4. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the bars to cool completely.
  8. For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar and maple syrup until smooth and drizzle over the cooled bars before serving.

Notes

For added texture, consider mixing in nuts or chocolate chips. Let bars cool completely before cutting to avoid crumbling.
