- – 1 cup (240 ml) apple cider
- – 1 tablespoon (15 ml) dijon mustard
- – 1 fresh rosemary sprig or fresh thyme sprig
- – 1 tablespoon (15 ml) butter
Instructions
- Warm olive oil in a 12-inch pan on medium heat.
- Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix together dried thyme, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Rub the seasoning mixture over the chicken thighs.
- Place the chicken in the heated oil and sear for 5 minutes, until they achieve a golden color.
- Turn the chicken over and continue cooking for an additional 6 to 8 minutes, ensuring they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Once cooked, take the chicken out of the pan and set it aside.
- Adjust the heat to medium-high under the skillet.
- Introduce minced garlic and sauté for about 20 seconds until it releases its aroma.
- Gradually add apple cider to the skillet.
- Incorporate dijon mustard, whisking thoroughly to blend.
- Place a rosemary or thyme sprig into the mixture.
- Let the sauce simmer for 8 minutes to thicken.
- Gently mix in the butter until it fully dissolves.
