Description

Discover how to make delicious Apple Cheddar Turkey Burgers that are juicy and packed with flavor. Perfect for a quick and tasty meal!

Ingredients

  • – 1 pound (454 g) lean ground beef
  • – 1 apple, shredded
  • – 4 green onions, thinly sliced
  • – 2 teaspoons (10 ml) mustard
  • – Salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
  • – 4 buns, toasted
  • – 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • – 2 tablespoons (30 ml) mustard
  • – 1 tablespoon (15 ml) honey

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, blend all the burger ingredients using your hands, ensuring not to overmix the beef. Split the beef mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties.
  2. Heat a large frying pan over medium heat and coat it with cooking spray. Place the patties in the heated pan and cook each side for about 4-6 minutes or until they are fully cooked.
  3. In the final minute of cooking, place cheddar cheese slices on the patties and cover them with a lid or foil to melt the cheese.
  4. As the burgers are cooking, mix the mustard and honey together, shred the apple, and toast the buns. Present the burgers with apple slices on top and drizzle with the honey mustard mixture.

Notes

  • Ensure the ground turkey is lean to prevent excessive greasiness in the burgers.
  • Opt for a high-quality cheddar cheese for a rich and creamy melt on the patties.
  • Toasting the buns adds a satisfying crunch and helps to keep the juicy burger intact.
