Description
These air fryer turkey meatballs are juicy, flavorful, and a healthier alternative to traditional meatballs, making them perfect for quick weeknight dinners or special occasions.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup unsalted panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, egg, panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan, minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
- Form the mixture into medium-sized meatballs, about 1-2 inches in diameter.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Lightly brush the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Place the meatballs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are spaced apart.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes, turning them halfway through, until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
Notes
For additional flavor, try adding herbs like basil or oregano. Chilling the mixture before forming meatballs can enhance the texture.
