Description

Nutritious and easy-to-make bagels infused with protein, perfect for breakfast or a snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • A pinch of salt (optional)
  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons cottage cheese (2% or 4%)
  • 1 egg (optional, for brushing)
  • Everything seasoning, poppy seeds, or sesame seeds for toppings


Instructions

  1. Combine the flour and baking powder in a medium bowl. Add a pinch of salt if desired.
  2. Add the cottage cheese, mixing until a chunky dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
  4. Divide the dough into four sections, roll each into a log (6-7 inches long), and join the ends to form bagels.
  5. Whisk the egg with water or milk and brush over the bagels, adding desired toppings.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 300°F and prepare the basket. Cook the bagels for 15-17 minutes, checking at 10 minutes, until golden brown.
  7. Cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
