A simple and satisfying casserole featuring pasta shells, ground beef, and a creamy blend of cheeses, perfect for busy evenings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb medium pasta shells
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 (10 oz) cans of tomato soup
- ½ cup water
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Garlic, salt, and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- Cook the pasta shells according to package directions until al dente.
- Drain the shells and set aside.
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, seasoning with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the drained pasta shells, tomato soup, and water into the skillet and mix well.
- Simmer for 2-3 minutes until combined.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 baking dish.
- Top with half of the shredded cheese, then sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes; broil for 2-3 minutes for a crispy top if desired.
Notes
Using lean ground beef reduces grease. Customize with vegetables like spinach or bell peppers if desired.
