Description

A simple and satisfying casserole featuring pasta shells, ground beef, and a creamy blend of cheeses, perfect for busy evenings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb medium pasta shells
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 (10 oz) cans of tomato soup
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Garlic, salt, and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook the pasta shells according to package directions until al dente.
  3. Drain the shells and set aside.
  4. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, seasoning with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add the drained pasta shells, tomato soup, and water into the skillet and mix well.
  6. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until combined.
  7. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 baking dish.
  8. Top with half of the shredded cheese, then sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
  9. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  10. Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes; broil for 2-3 minutes for a crispy top if desired.

Notes

Using lean ground beef reduces grease. Customize with vegetables like spinach or bell peppers if desired.
