Description

Delightful baked knots with zesty orange flavor and a sweet glaze, perfect for gatherings or as a warm snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz.) can refrigerated biscuits
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest (plus 1 teaspoon for glaze)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed orange juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Open the can of refrigerated biscuits and cut each biscuit into four equal strips.
  3. Lightly roll each strip into a long shape and tie them into knots.
  4. Combine melted butter, granulated sugar, and 1 tablespoon of orange zest in a bowl. Dip each knot into the mixture, ensuring they are well-coated.
  5. Place the knots on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. While the knots bake, prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, freshly squeezed orange juice, and the remaining teaspoon of orange zest.
  7. Once the knots are done, let them cool slightly before drizzling the glaze over them.

Notes

For a more intense citrus flavor, experiment with the amount of orange zest. You can also adjust the sweetness of the glaze to your liking.
