Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups warm water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons active dry yeast
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl; let it proof for 2–5 minutes until bubbly.
- Mix in vegetable oil, salt, and egg.
- Gradually add flour until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 4 minutes until slightly sticky.
- Shape into 15 balls and place in a greased 9×13 pan; cover and let rise.
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- After 20 minutes of rising, bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush the tops with melted butter before serving.
Notes
Ensure the water is about 110°F to activate yeast effectively. Adjust flour for dough consistency if necessary.
