Description

Quick and fluffy dinner rolls that evoke warmth and nostalgia, perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups warm water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons active dry yeast
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour


Instructions

  1. Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl; let it proof for 2–5 minutes until bubbly.
  2. Mix in vegetable oil, salt, and egg.
  3. Gradually add flour until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 4 minutes until slightly sticky.
  5. Shape into 15 balls and place in a greased 9×13 pan; cover and let rise.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  7. After 20 minutes of rising, bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Brush the tops with melted butter before serving.

Notes

Ensure the water is about 110°F to activate yeast effectively. Adjust flour for dough consistency if necessary.
