Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
- Add 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar to the dry ingredients and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, mix 1 cup of plain cottage cheese with 1/4 cup of milk until smooth.
- Pour the cottage cheese mixture into the dry ingredients.
- Add the minced 3 garlic cloves and 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh cilantro to the bowl.
- Mix the ingredients together until a soft dough forms.
- Lightly flour a clean surface and knead the dough for about 2 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and shape each into a ball.
- Roll each dough ball into a small circle, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Preheat a skillet or non-stick pan over medium heat.
- Place one rolled dough circle onto the hot skillet.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes until bubbles form on the surface.
- Flip the naan and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove the naan from the skillet and brush with melted butter.
- Repeat the cooking process with the remaining dough portions.
- Serve the garlic cottage cheese naan warm.
